Your daily return, from the bills you already rang
Each licence files its own return, and the licence you record decides which. The file is built from the day's sales and receipts, bottle by bottle, in the columns the Puduvaicalal portal expects. You download it and upload it; nothing is typed twice.
FL-1
FL1GODOWNSALE and FL1RETAILSALE
Wholesale and the retail counter, from one licence
FL-2 Retail
FL2RETAILSALE
Sealed bottles, with or without a bar permission
FL-2 Tourism
FL2TOURISMSALE
Poured by the peg, reported in ml
- Existing and new stock kept apart, so the Special Excise Duty lands on the right bottles.
- A delivery is reported once, on the return that carries it.
- An MRP change takes effect on the day it is dated, never back-dated.
- Licence expiry dates recorded and warned about 30 days ahead.
The counter keeps billing when the internet does not
Bills are numbered and printed on the terminal itself, queued, and sent the moment the line returns. A shop with a bad connection still has every bill in the books once the line is back — and a bill is sent once, however often the connection drops.
Everything a licensed shop runs on
One sign-in for the counter, the stock room, the books and the return. Every part is included in every plan.
At the counter
Fast enough for a Friday evening queue.
Scan, bill, print
Barcode or search, cash, card, UPI, cheque or credit, and an 80 mm receipt. A double press never makes two bills.
A phone can be a till
Register a phone with a one-time code from the back office. The camera scans, and on Android the receipt can go to a Bluetooth printer.
Staff sign in with a PIN
Each cashier has a staff code and PIN on the shop's own terminal, and every bill records who rang it.
Cash-up per counter
Every drawer is counted against what it took, and a variance is recorded against the counter and whoever opened it.
Pegs for tourism premises
An FL-2 Tourism premises sells by the peg from a menu pad, and its return reports the pour in ml.
Barcode labels
Print shelf and bottle labels on a roll or an A4 sheet, with the shop's own codes for anything that has none.
Stock and purchases
Every bottle in, out and across, on one ledger.
Receive against the invoice
Goods receipts carry permit duty and TCS, and the supplier's balance follows them.
Purchase orders and schemes
Raise an order, receive part of it, and track a supplier's free-goods scheme by bottles actually received.
Transfers and stock-takes
Move stock between shops and godowns, count a shelf, and see what the count changed.
Several shops, one business
Run shops in Puducherry, Karaikal, Mahe and Yanam under one sign-in, with staff who can work at more than one.
Money and the books
The figures your accountant asks for, already made.
Tally export
Sales, purchases, receipts, payments and expenses as vouchers that balance, ready to import. Your accountant keeps Tally.
Water, soda and snacks under GST
GST goods billed beside liquor, a tax invoice when one is due, and a GSTR-1 workbook for the period.
Credit customers
A ledger for every customer on credit, statements with ageing, and a warning at the counter when a limit is passed.
Wholesale by the rules
An FL-1 bills other licensees, and a buyer across regions must hold an FL-1 too. A buyer with no licence on file is refused.
Payroll
Attendance and payslips, with EPF, ESI and Professional Tax worked out for your accountant to check, and commission on what each salesperson served.
A morning summary by email
Every morning, yesterday's takings, stock running low and any return still to file, emailed to the owner and managers.
On the road
For wholesalers with executives visiting dealers.
Dealer visits and collections
Managers plan the beats; executives record visits and collect payments on a phone, and cash is handed in at the counter and counted into its drawer.
Deliveries
Mark a consignment delivered, short or refused, and see what needs a sale return.
Built to be relied on
Each business sealed off
One business never sees another's bills, stock or customers, and a cashier sees only the shops they are allowed to work at.
Billing never stops over a bill
An unpaid subscription never locks the counter or the excise return. The back office goes read-only; selling and filing carry on.
Two-step sign-in for the back office
Owners and managers can protect their account with an authenticator app, and sign out every device in one press.
Nightly backups
The database is copied every night, and each copy is restored into a scratch database the same night to prove it works.

Questions
Does it file the return for me?
It builds the file; you upload it. The return is made from the day's bills and receipts in the department's own columns, and you download it and upload it to the Puduvaicalal portal yourself, as the licensee.
What if the internet goes down?
The counter carries on. Bills are numbered and printed on the terminal, held there, and sent when the connection returns. A bill is sent once however often the line drops, and a bill the server refuses stays on the terminal until it is put right.
What do I need to run it?
A computer, tablet or phone with an up-to-date browser. An 80 mm receipt printer and a barcode scanner are usual at the counter; a phone can scan with its camera, and an Android phone with Chrome can print to a Bluetooth printer.
Which licences does it support?
FL-1 (wholesale and its retail counter), FL-2 Retail (with or without a bar permission) and FL-2 Tourism, in all four regions of the Union Territory.
What happens if I stop paying?
After a 14-day grace period the back office becomes read-only. The counter keeps billing and the excise return keeps building — a lapsed subscription never stops a shop from trading or filing.
Do customers have to give their details?
No. A retail bill needs no name or number. Customer details are needed only when you sell on credit, to another licensee, or when a buyer wants a GST tax invoice.
Can I try it before signing up?
Yes. The demo has five sample businesses — a wholesaler, an FL-1 with its own counter, a wine shop, a bar and a tourism premises — with stock, prices and returns you can build and download. Or start a free trial with your own shop.
